Provincial Level

E-mail Print PDF

Whilst the emphasis of our project is on strengthening Districts and LLGs, we recognise that close working relations at the provincial level is also necessary. For example, in cases of grant awards where the District does not have a functional District Treasury, the District Treasurer will act at the Provincial Treasury. Further to this, Result 3 of the project is ‘improved overall framework for the functioning of the lower levels of government.’ We will soon launch pilot activities and training initiatives that will involve Provincial, District and LLGs.

Also our activities cannot be sustainable without Provincial Administration involvement, for example in ensuring that recurrent costs are met through the Annual Provincial budget.
