There is an EU-sister project within the Department for Community Development: Support to Non-State Actors. We have held joint regional workshops to raise awareness of both grant schemes in November and December 2008. We will work closely together on initiatives that will help improve service delivery in the Districts and LLGs of PNG.

Within DPLGA, the Provincial Performance Improvement Initiative (AusAID funded) has been operating since 2004. We are seeking close coordination with PPII’s activities, in particular regarding capacity building of DPLGA.
